Cautions Related Products
We are qualified as a "Certified Service Provider" by Agilent Technologies.
Agilent Certified "Certified Service Provider" is a provider which completed the strict training to obtain the maximum quality, reliability and reproducibility of the data from Agilent microarray. We offer a high quality service of Agilent microarray analysis for our valued customers. Ordering

This is a service based on the Agilent Technologies' microarray and offers an exhaustive analysis with highly accurate data output.
A total solution service, where the client only needs to submit the RNA sample, is available on request. This includes amplification of RNA, labeling, and digitalization.

Description
Description

* The microarray makes possible simultaneous analysis of a very large number of genes because of its high density by in-situ synthesis.

* The array is highly sensitive and uses a 60-mer oligo.

* The analysis is performed using an optimized version of the protocol and reagents recommended by Agilent Technologies as well as a complete system from Agilent Technologies so that the performance of the equipment is maximized.

* The service can be performed even for small samples of RNA since RNA amplification is included in the service by default.

* The result data is highly reliable, normalized with LOWESS normalization method.

* Fluorescence intensity reading data includes the p-value, which can be used for statistical quality control.

* The whole process is performed inside a clean room, which means that influence of dust on data as well as that of ozone on Cy-5 are removed.

Scope of the Service
« Analysis »
Please select the analysis type depending on how you use it in your research.
1 color analysis: One sample is used for one analysis. Suitable for those who plans a lot of analyses.
2 colors analysis: Two samples are used for one analysis. Suitable for those who plans small scale experiment or aims the detection of minute expression alteration.
« Scanning and digitalization »
Service is available as a total solution package or just for scanning and digitalization of a microarray.
Please inquire for detail.

« Microarray format »
The microarray design for each format is as below.

The microarray design

Necessary sample
Sample: Total RNA
Sample volume: 1µg or more
Sample concentration: 100 ng/µl or more
OD260/280: 1.8-2.1

Sample is to be diluted in nuclease free water.
DEPC treated water may inhibit enzymatic reaction. Please dissolve total RNA in nuclease free water.
Please make sure that the sample RNA is not fragmented by using electrophoresis. (Please make sure to attach the electrophoresis image to the sample.)
Please inquire when the quantity of sample is less than the requirement above.
Sample is subject to quality control upon receipt. This acceptance quality control is performed by using Agilent Technologies’ Bioanalyzer. (Click here for details on the Bioanalyzer.)

Analysis might be suspended or new sample requested if the RNA sample shows fragmentation. (Re-sent sample will be quality controlled for free.) Thank you for your understanding.
Recommended method of RNA extraction
Please inquire for the recommended method of RNA extraction by HSS.
Extraction using phenolic reagent may affect the reaction.
We might request purification of sample, when the RNA was extracted using phenolic reagent. Thank you for your understanding.
Orders for extraction of RNA from cells or tissues are also accepted.

Deliverables
Basic deliverables for this service are as follows;
Microarray scan image
Digitalization data (TXT or XLS file)
Scatter plot
List of co-shifted genes on expression profile (Listed by the ones with the largest Fold Change)
Microarray data interpretation manual (Analysis sample on Excel sheet)
Sample quality control by Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer.
Sample measurement result by UV. (RNA concentration and purity)
Report
* Data will be delivered in a CD-R.Encryption available on request.

« For Reference »
Encryption algorithm "Rijndael", which is selected as AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) on October 2000, is applied to our service. This is a proven algorithm with 256 bits block and key length, used widely not only in US but in Japan.

Description and scope of the service are subject to changes without notice.
Samples are limited to the P1 level defined in "the Law concerning the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biological Diversity through Regulations on the Use of Living Modified Organisms" (Cartagena Protocol) issued by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Infective samples such as HCV or HBV are not acceptable. In case of using human clinical sample, please confirm if the informed consent is obtained.
Lead time is calculated from the first day HSS starts to work on the target sample.
Cancellation of an order will be rejected if received after production start. If cancellation is due to force majeure, the client will be asked to pay the service up to the cancellation point.
The result of this custom analysis service should be used for the purpose of investigation. The result should not be used for purposes such as production/quality control of a medical product or food, diagnosis, etc.
HSS will not be responsible for losses a client may incur as a result of the custom analysis service output.
HSS will not be responsible for troubles related to industrial property rights or safety whose origin is in the sample submitted by a client or the methods used.
Request for storage or return of samples is not accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
An RNA sample might be rejected as a result of the quality control for acceptance. If that is the case, the second quality control to be performed on the re-submitted sample, will be at no charge. However, please be aware that the RNA quality control will be charged from the third time onward.
Should an Agilent array analysis service be discontinued, the client will be asked to pay the service up to the discontinuation point, including the RNA quality controls if applicable.
