RNA is extracted from sample cell or tissue and then, purified. The purified RNA is subject to quantitation and degradation test in the bio-analyzer.

A complete RNA is essential when performing a gene expression analysis in a microarray or an RT-PCR. For that, an accurate RNA quality test is critical. Please consider using HSS’ RNA quality test prior to any application or investigation where the quality of the RNA sample is critical.

Equipment used for this service is Agilent Technologies’ Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer.

Gene amplification by reverse transcription of the primer designed and synthesized from RNA and gene information. The result to be delivered includes the electrophoresis of the amplified gene. Measurement of gene expression quantity by threshold method is available on request.

DNA is extracted from a sample embedded in a paraffin block and the amplified gene, subject to sequencing. Successful gene amplification is not guaranteed since the target gene might have been fragmented while being embedded in the paraffin.
