LipoTrust™ Series

Hokkaido System Science Co., Ltd. (HSS) has transfection reagents with Exceptional performance for the delivery of Plasmid DNA, siRNA, antisense oligo and miRNA.

The mechanism of cationic lipid-mediated transfection originates with the basic structure
of cationic lipids, a positively charged head group attached with two hydrocarbon chains.

The positive surface of the liposomes mediates the interaction of nucleic acid and cell membrane, allowing for fusion of the liposome/nucleic acid (transfection complex) with negatively charged cell membrane.

The transfection complex is thought to enter the cell through endocytosis. Once inside the cell, the complex must escape the endosomal pathway and diffuse through the cytoplasm.

For successful transfections you can choose from our transfection reagents for HSS
provides transfection protocols but further optimization may be necessary for your particular experiments.

LipoTrust™ had been used to deliver siRNA for the treatment of rat liver cirrhoisis which was described in recent Nature Biotechnology advance online publication.
Other in vivo therapeutic studies with LipoTrust™ and siRNAs are under way.

Description

Transfection reagent for short oligonucleotides (e.g. siRNA, antisense DNA, miRNA etc.)
LipoTrust™ EX Oligo

·Higher knock-down efficiency is expected with low concentration of short oligonucleotide.
·Transfection is available in the presence of serum.
·Higher level transfection would be expected in vivo use with minimizing cytotoxicity.

Description

This is cationic liposome which consists of three highly effective transfection formulations strictly selected from more than three hundreds. What makes them unique is that no conversion to serum-free medium is required at the transfection. And they show high gene expression activity both in vitro and in vivo.

LipoTrust™

*LipoTrust™ SR
shows high gene expression activity with many kinds of cells even in the presence of serum.

*LipoTrust™ PE
shows gene expression activity of a certain extent with / without serum.

*LipoTrust™ CH
shows remarkably high gene expression activity in the serum-free medium, and is available for transfection into non-adherent type cells.
